Jeremy Milner

Jeremy Paul Milner, since graduating with a B.M. from The University of Tulsa in 2003, has performed with several opera companies including Des Moines Metro Opera, Center City Opera, Tulsa Opera and Central City Opera.  Of his portrayal of The Doctor in Barber's Vanessa, Robert Baxter of the Philadelphia Courier-Post said "his big bass voice and strong personality dominate the stage at his every appearance."

In the 2007 - 2008 season Mr. Milner will make his Sarasota Opera debut as Crebillion in La Rondine.  Mr. Milner will also be engaged by Sarasota to cover Sparafucille in Rigoletto as well as the cover of Loredano in I Due Foscari.  With Center City Opera of Philadelphia, Mr. Milner will be premiering the new opera The Always Present Present.

In the 2006 - 2007 season Mr. Milner performed the role of Snug in A Midsummer Night's Dream with Des Moines Metro Opera.  With The Academy of Vocal Arts, Mr. Milner performed Dr. Bartolo in The Barber of Seville, Kuno in Der Freischütz, The Doctor in Vanessa, and L'Holtelier in Manon.  Also with Center City Opera of Philadelphia Mr. Milner performed Friar Laurence in Romeo and Juliette and Mr. March and Mr. Dashwood in Little Women.

In the 2005 - 2006 season Mr. Milner performed with Tulsa Opera as Antonio in Le Nozze di Figaro.  Mr. Milner was also pleased to perform a supernumerary role in Catherine Malfitano's production of Madamme Butterfly with Central City Opera.  Of that performance Opera Now said that Mr. Milner did "an incredible piece of mute acting."

Mr. Milner is pleased to be returning to The Academy of Vocal Arts for his second year.
