Old favourites and a role debut featured on Richard Margison's 2008-2009 calendar. Richard made his role debut as Aegisthus in Strauss's Elektra with the Seattle Opera in October 2008. Prior to that he returned to the Hamburg State Opera to reprise one of his signature roles - Riccardo in Un Ballo in Maschera and performed in concert with the Kingston Symphony. He also appeared with the Manitoba Opera as Manrico in Il trovatore and in the Calgary Opera's production of Ariadne auf Naxos.

Future seasons include returns to the Metropolitan Opera, the Vancouver Opera, and a major new production of Die Meistersinger conducted by James Levine for the Cincinnati Opera in June 2010, when Richard will make his role debut as Walther von Stolzing.
